Gratitude

Today I realized as Ronin and I were on our walk that everything on him, top to bottom, was given to him by loved ones.

So I took a picture to commemorate the moment. Thanks to Sharon for the Bjorn, to Marnie for the hat, to Aunt Kelly for the onesie, and to Carolyn for the cloth diaper (for all of the cloth diapers, and for EVERYTHING). I could do this every day, and maybe I will -- he has so many wonderful outfits, blankets, toys, and equipment from friends and family.

Not to mention the countless hugs, rocks, pats, kisses, and well-wishes he's gotten from the world at large.

Oh, I can't resist also posting the pictures of him with his bean -- thanks to Ashley for that!

We are so grateful for everyone's love and support.

Happy Birthday, Bee!

Today is my mom's birthday, so Ronin wanted to be sure to wish his grandmother an extra special happy birthday! Happy birthday, Bee! We love you!

Things the binks can do

Now that you've seen a few pictures, here's a short list of his skills as they're coming along...

-He can grab at things and put them in his mouth
-He kicks his left foot vigorously. A lot.
-He drools.
-He giggles and laughs and has an array of barks and yelps and "ooohs" and "aaahs." He expresses himself quite nicely.
-He's really happy in the mornings, first thing, when he wakes up.

We're starting to really like him.

Catch up

So Ronin is almost 4 months old, and we've realized that having a baby makes it really hard to stay in touch with loved ones near and far. And we really want to share Ronin's life with all of his far-flung family...so we'll be posting to this blog at least once a week, with pictures and updates on his happenings. Thanks for stopping by to see how the little man's doing!

Here are a few shots of the recent months, including the 4th of July with his Poole relatives in Raleigh, a weekend visit with his grandfather from New York, and our family vacation on Hilton Head.

Ah, and I shouldn't sign off without apologizing to friends and family who visited in the early days and are not pictured here...I don't have any of the early pics yet loaded onto my computer. Also, I don't know a thing about formatting this blog, as you can tell from the upside-down and sideways nature of the pics. I'll catch on quick though, I promise.

Much love to you all...
